Frequently Asked Hydro Questions

The following are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions our customers ask us. They cover common queries regarding all our services.

What types of objects can be dipped?

We can dip any object which has a non-porous surface. Suitable surface materials include metal, plastic, glass, fibreglass and hard wood. Objects (or parts of bigger objects) we frequently dip include engine covers, motorcycle tanks, rods and reels, game consoles, gun scopes, laptop casings and smart phone covers.

How durable is the finish?

It’s very durable. We use a strong high end automotive quality lacquer which protects the printed surface against wear and tear. It’s scratch resistant and offers good UV protection from the sun’s rays.

How long will it all take?

We have a general turnaround period of approximately 2 weeks for all services we provide.

Do I need to clean and disassemble my parts?

We ask you to disassemble the parts you want printed, covered or wrapped from the main object. We also ask you give the part a general clean so it’s as free from dust, grease and grime as possible. This will speed up the process and reduce extra costs for on-site cleaning.

How should I care for my returned parts?

Most surfaces, whether hydro-dipped or wrapped, will largely look after themselves due to specialist lacquers. They will just need standard cleaning with soap and water. Flocked surfaces will need a hoover down once in a while.

What are the delivery options?

There are two ways. You can directly drop off your item at our facilities in Lowestoft. Or alternatively you can have your item delivered to our address instead. However, please wait until we have allocated your product with a job number as this saves confusion when it arrives in the workshop.

Once your job has been completed we return your item to you by secure courier.

We are passionate about customisation and have many bespoke surface enhancement techniques at your disposal!
